I went to Smoke Shop in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, July 14.
It was a quiet, empty shop with no customers, and I was greeted by a sign that read “Smoke Shop is closed.
No new orders.”
That sign was replaced with a sign with a message that read, “No new orders.
Thank you for your patience.”
The sign said, in part, “Thank you for understanding.
Thank all of you who visit Smoke Shop every week.
We’re very sorry to have to close our doors to you.
We hope to see you again soon.”
Smoke Shop was a local smoke shop.
It’s owned by a couple who own the Smokestack, an independent bar that opened a couple years ago in downtown Portland.
Smokers who were in Portland were excited to be able to buy weed at the bar, but when the shop closed they couldn’t come back.
They were also frustrated because they couldn to bring their weed to the Smokers Lounge.
It became a place for smokers to smoke out in the summer.
That’s where they started the smoke shop and it’s where most of the smoke shops in Portland now are.
The Smokstacks bar has become the new home for Oregon’s new legal marijuana dispensaries.

The smoke shop was a place where people could smoke, smoke, and smoke.
So, we’re just glad that they’re here, he said.
Tilray, which specializes in the production and distribution of medical marijuana, was able to secure the leases at Smoke Shop to allow them to move forward with their plan to open the first legal marijuana dispensary in Oregon.
The company also has a dispensary in Denver.
It plans to open a second dispensary in the fall in Portland.
The new Tilray store in Portland will have a full menu, including a selection of fresh, fresh-baked cookies, which are a signature at Smoke Shops.
They will be served by staff who have years of experience.
The Portland-area Tilray location is just the beginning for Tilray and the company.
Tilrays Seattle and Colorado locations are expected to open in the coming months.
Smoke Shop’s Seattle location is set to open next year.
Tilay has already opened a dispensary at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Tilays Denver store will open in 2018.
The Tilray Seattle store will be one of several in the state that will be opening by the end of 2018.
Schmidbuers plan to have 10 to 12 dispensaries opening in the next two to three years.
He said he hopes to have five to seven dispensaries open by 2020.
The two largest of those, Tilray’s Colorado location and the Oregon-based Tilray Oregon, have a combined capacity of more than 100,000 square feet.
Tilrahs Portland location has about 40,000 sq. ft., and Tilrays Seattle has about 45,000.
Schmidthuber expects to open up to 40 dispensaries in Oregon by 2021.
That would be the largest number of dispensaries in the country.
It would also be the second largest in the nation, after California, with a total of nearly 200,000, according to data compiled by the Colorado Department of Revenue.
That was based on data from the first five months of 2018, the first month Tilray opened in Seattle and Oregon.
TilRay’s Seattle, Oregon and Portland locations will be the first of their kind in the United States.
Tilaya plans to have about 1,000 to 1,500 dispensaries open in 2020, Schmythuber said.
The Oregon-controlled company is also considering opening a retail location in Portland and in Washington state.
Schythubers goal is to have 20 to 25 dispensaries in all of Oregon by 2020, and he expects to have as many as 50 in the Oregon city of Portland.
Schithuber is also working on expanding Tilray to the West Coast.
“I think Tilray is the only place that is in the Northwest where you can have a dispensary, where you are able to have a storefront,” he said, referring to Oregon’s booming marijuana industry.
“You’re not going to have the problem of having to move all of your plants around to get to a location.
It’ll just be like being a retail store.”
What’s in a name?
While the company’s name has become synonymous with marijuana in the last decade, Schmidbaers is optimistic about the future of marijuana.
“There’s a lot of potential here,” he told BuzzFeed News.
He cited a growing market for medical marijuana and growing acceptance of the plant as reasons why his company is building a company that can serve the needs of medical patients and patients with chronic illnesses.
