Police have confirmed that one person is dead and three other people have been injured in a shooting at a butcher shop in South Australia’s south-east.

“Police were called at about 3.30am to the location in Southland Road, Melbourne, where they were informed that a man had been shot and a man was wounded,” Detective Inspector Michael Brown said.
“One of the victims was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and two others were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital and were in stable condition.”
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Royal Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.
“The three injured victims were taken by ambulances to Royal Perth Hospital where they are in stable conditions,” Detective Superintendent Brown said in a statement.
Police are investigating whether the incident is linked to a spate of recent violent incidents in the Adelaide area.
The man’s name has not been released.
